Privacy Policy
Short version: we don't ask who you are, we don't sell anything about you, and there is no account to create. What we do store is anonymous and exists to keep the channels running and your subscription working.
We do not collect personal data
MusicTVApp has no sign-up and no login. We do not collect, request or store your name, email address, phone number, postal address, date of birth, contacts, photos, or precise location. We cannot identify you personally from anything the app stores.
We do not sell or share your data
We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise pass your data to data brokers, advertisers or any other third party for their own purposes. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
What we do collect
All of the following is anonymous — it is tied to a random identifier, never to your identity:
- An anonymous device ID. A random value generated on first launch and stored in your device's secure keychain. It contains no personal information. It is what lets us apply free-viewing limits fairly and restore your subscription if you reinstall the app.
- Usage and analytics data. How long the app is watched, which channels are used, and session counts. We use this to understand which channels are popular, to plan programming, and to measure how the service is performing.
- Your favourites. The videos you mark with a heart, so your Private Channel can be rebuilt on your device.
- Purchase records. The transaction identifier and receipt for a subscription, so we can confirm it is active. We never receive or store your payment card details.
- Diagnostic logs. If playback fails, or if you choose to send a debug log, technical information about the failure is recorded so we can fix it.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store, not by us. Payment is charged to your Apple ID and all billing is handled by Apple under their terms. We never see your payment details.
To grant access, we store the subscription's transaction identifier and receipt against your anonymous device ID. This is required to verify that a subscription is valid, to restore it on reinstall, and to stop access when it lapses.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel at any time in your Apple ID settings — we cannot cancel or refund on your behalf. Refunds are handled by Apple.
Video playback and YouTube
Videos are played through YouTube's official embedded player. When a video plays, YouTube receives the request and may set cookies or collect data under its own policies, independently of us. That processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and the YouTube Terms of Service. We do not control it and receive no personal data from it.
Advertising
Free use of the app may include advertisements. Ads are not personalised and are not targeted using your data. We do not share your data with advertising networks for profiling. Subscribing removes ads.
Where data is stored
Anonymous usage, favourites and subscription records are stored on our hosting provider's servers. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and is retained only for as long as it is needed to operate the service.
Children
MusicTVApp is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Because no personal information is collected from anyone, no such information about a child can be collected either.
Your choices
Deleting the app removes the favourites stored on your device. Because records are tied only to an anonymous identifier and not to you, we may need that identifier to locate them. To request deletion of the data associated with your device, contact us at the address below.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
